Why I’m Going on the World Race
Hello! My name is Mikayla! I wanted share a little about me and why I’m going on the World Race:
ABOUT ME ⇒
I’m a 26-year-old from north Georgia! I was born in Oregon and have lived in Georgia since 2008. I became a Christian back in 2015 and it’s been a ride ever since!
WHY THE WORLD RACE ⇒
I first heard about the World Race from a missionary friend back in 2019. She asked me, “Have you ever heard of the World Race? It’s a mission trip where you go to eleven countries in eleven months.” I knew at that moment that there was something God was calling me into. This year (2025) I finally shed the last bit of fear and uncertainty about my future and decided to take the leap of faith! I can’t wait to go on The Great Adventure with Jesus!
MINISTRY & MORE ⇒
I currently work at my home church here in North Georgia. I run the office as a secretary and administrator, and work with worship, youth and young adults! I’ve been passionate about ministry since my college days, and did work with Cru™ while at the University of North Georgia! I have also worked in film and media for around five years, including Christian media.
